LAB 05.24.23 is the eighth installment in our Labs series. With this Lab, we’re experimenting with imprinting on short “golf” pencils. These small-batch pencils are inspired by short-length pencils (roughly half the size of a regular Blackwing) traditionally used for golf score sheets. These portable pencils fit easily in your pocket/bag for travel, sketching and note-taking on the go, or your next tee time.

BLACKWING LAB 05.24.23 features a gunmetal grey barrel, glossy black ferrule, silver clip, green eraser, white imprint, and our firm graphite. Each set includes 12 limited-edition golf pencils and each box is individually numbered to mark its authenticity.

Blackwing Labs are small batch pencil releases that offer a fun look at our design process. The results may see us experimenting with new features, or putting new spins on old favorites. Each pencil will be foil stamped with the date of the release, and each box will be numbered by batch.
