With Lab 11.28.25 we finally made the first all-black Blackwing pencil. Black-stained Genuine Incense-cedar wood, matte black lacquer, black imprint, black ferrule, black clip, black eraser, and our balanced graphite. Available while supplies last. Limit 4 packs per customer.

Blackwing 21 is our tribute to the craft of woodworking. Each pencil is made with special finger jointed slats and features our first-ever square barrel. The pencil’s firm graphite is perfect for measuring and marking cut lines, and then measuring them again.

This Eras pencil sports a gold-banded design inspired by the pencil that kicked off the Blackwing revival in 2010. Each box includes 12 special edition pencils that feature a matte black barrel, gold stripe, gold ferrule, white eraser, and our soft graphite.

Volume 292 is our tribute to Keith Haring. Each pencil features Haring's dancing figures and our balanced graphite.

The Blackwing 140 is our tribute to the culinary arts. Each stainless steel-colored pencil includes our versatile balanced graphite that can be used for jotting down ingredients or sketching your plating ideas.

The Blackwing 11 is our tribute to Bill Russell and his undeniable legacy on and off the basketball court. The number 11 foil stamped on each pencil represents the number of championships he won, more than any player in NBA history. Each pencil includes our soft graphite.

The Blackwing 574 is our tribute to Native American art and the 574 nations that use it to assert agency and identity. We worked with Kaw, Osage, Lakota artist Chris Pappan to design a pencil that evokes geometric patterns found throughout many Native American expressions of culture. Each pencil includes our firm graphite. A portion of proceeds will go to the Cheyenne River Youth Project.

Tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright and his architectural ambition. Each pencil features silhouette of one of Wright’s iconic perforated boards printed in a muted, midcentury palette. The area around the board is unfilled, letting the natural wood of the pencil shine through. Each pencil also includes a copper ferrule and our extra-firm graphite.

The Blackwing Eras (2024 Edition) pencil sports a retro design inspired by the Microtomic 603. Each box includes 12 special edition pencils with a deep blue barrel, silver imprint & ferrule, a pink eraser, and our soft graphite.

The Blackwing 746 is a tribute to the Golden Gate Bridge and other engineering wonders of the modern world. Each pencil features our firm graphite core and is finished with a special mulit-layered technique to bring out the iconic International Orange color of San Francisco’s world-famous Marvel.

The Blackwing 710 is our tribute to Jerry Garcia and his fusion of visual and musical expression. A slice of his painting “Curves & Lines” is printed on each pencil, which features our soft graphite that is ideal for both drawing and songwriting.

Volume 2 acknowledges that art brings about change. It features a special cracked Glow-in-the-Dark design and an all-new 2X Firm Graphite specially formulated for this release.

Retro design inspired by the Van Dyke 601. Each box includes 12 special edition pencils with a yellow barrel, dark grey ferrule with a gold band, a red eraser, our firm graphite, and a “PULL OUT CLAMP TO LENGTHEN ERASER” imprint.

Blackwing 20 celebrates tabletop games and the cherished moments they can create. Features a raised polyhedron design inspired by gaming dice and our firm graphite.

Blackwing 192 is a tribute to John Lennon and Paul McCartney and the estimated 192 songs they wrote together. The color prism design depicts the convergence of two powerful creative forces. A different Lennon-McCartney lyric is foil stamped on each pencil, for a total of twelve different lyrics in the set. Includes extra-firm graphite.
