THE BLACKWING STORY
Blackwing pencils were used by award-winning creators throughout the 20th century. Despite a cult following that included John Steinbeck and Stephen Sondheim, Blackwing pencils fell victim to cost cutting measures in the 1990s and were discontinued. Devotees began paying as much as $40 for a single pencil. We acquired the brand in 2010, bringing Blackwing pencils back for a new generation of artists, musicians, and people who value craftsmanship, and the chance to unplug.

Impress your fans/clients and tell a great story with a branded Blackwing pencil or notebook. Branded Blackwing pencils are available in four unique and exclusive colorways: gloss black, white, grey, and natural. Programs start at $2 per pencil.
More in-depth customization options are also available for larger projects with select partners.
BRANDED BLACKWING PROGRAM
PENCILS
•Foil stamped imprint in black, white, or gold.
• Available with black, white, grey, or natural gloss lacquer and black, white, or grey erasers.
• Smooth, dark graphite core. The same "balanced" graphite found in our Pearl pencil.
• “Blackwing” on one side and your logo on the opposite side.
• Orders starting at $2,000.
• Turnaround in 7-10 business days after finalized proof.
SLATE NOTEBOOKS
Available in three sizes (A4, A5, A6)
• Premium sewn-bound, hardcover notebooks.
• Each notebook comes with a Blackwing pencil in the pencil holster.
• Black, white, or grey cover. A4, A5, or A6 sizes available in each color.
• Thick 100GSM paper. Dot-grid, ruled, or blank pages available.
• Your logo on the front or back of the notebook. (Don’t violate any trademarks. That isn’t fun for anyone.)
• Hot-stamped, pad-printed, and lasered customization options available.
• Minimum order of 200 Slate notebooks.
• Orders typically ship 14-20 business days after finalized proof.
MEMO BOOKS
Pocket sized Clutch notebooks
• Premium sewn-bound Clutch memo books.
• Black, white, or grey cover. 5.5" x 3.5".
• Thick 100GSM paper. Dot-grid, ruled, or blank pages available.
• Your logo pad printed on the front or back of the notebook. (Don’t violate any trademarks. That isn’t fun for anyone.)
• Minimum order of 200 memo books.
• Orders typically ship 14-20 business days after finalized proof.
