We teamed up with Musubi in Kyoto to create the Blackwing Furoshiki (2025 Edition). This traditional Japanese cloth wrap features a Japanese-inspired illustration by artist Maisy Summer. Furoshiki have been used in Japan for over 1,000 years, dating back to the Nara period, as a way for people to wrap and protect their valuables. Today, Furoshiki are used to wrap presents or carry objects with you while on the go.

This gift set features designs inspired by the beauty of Japanese cherry blossoms or “sakura.” Each set includes a Moleskine canvas cover notebook (5" x 8.25") with 240 pages of 100 GSM Ruled paper and 12-pack Blackwing sakura pencils with our Firm graphite.
